Britanski The Guardian je objavio odn. skica određenih događaja i pejzaža iz omiljene nam knjige koje je naslikao niko drugi nego Tolkin. Ovo su neke od njegovih prvih ilustracija.
When The Hobbit was first published almost 75 years ago, JRR Tolkien provided a set of wonderful illustrations. But buried among the author's papers were 110 drawings, watercolours and sketches, some of which have never been published before.
Moram reći da patuljci izgledaju jako moćno.
Na istom sajtu se može naći tekst o art book-u , kolekciji Tolkinovih slika koja će biti u prodaji od 27. oktobra, na 75. godišnjicu objavljivanja Hobita. Cena na sajtu je £20.00. Kako knjiga još uvek nije objavljena, nisam siguran da li je ovo konačna cena.

Ako pod 'mocno' mislis 'urnebesno i vise su u stilu Deda Mrazovih malih pomocnika', onda da, deluju veoma mocno.

Film ima problem što treba da postoji neki kontinuitet sa LOTR filmovima, pa ne mogu sad patuljci da izgledaju previše "dečje".
Ja sam ubeđena da dosta od ovih objavljenih slika imam negde... sećam se da su mogle da se kupe kao razglednice na jednoj Tolkinovoj izložbi na kojoj sam bila.
