A šta je bilo s onom tužbom? Ja negde skoro pročitah da i dalje nema nekog napretka, tj. da se u New Lineu prave ludi i ne daju pare, a vidim da se uveliko prave spekulacije o podeli uloga. Znači li to da se definitivno prevaziđene te prepreke, ili je ovo po domaćem receptu, da počnemo mi a problemi će se nekako već sami rešiti? Može li ishod suđenja da stopira film? (Na onom linku ranije pročitah nešto kao da ne može do konačne presude, ali nisam shvatila šta će biti ako konačna presuda bude protiv NL-a).

The lawsuit that threatened the making of The Hobbit movies has been settled out of court according to a press release signed by both parties.
The lawsuit had been hanging over the head of The Hobbit as The Tolkien Trust asked the courts to rescind the rights to any further movies based on the works of Tolkien over monies still owed from The Lord of the Rings movies.
Tolkien’s heirs sued New Line Cinema in February 2008, claiming the studio owed it millions in profits from the movies released between 2001 and 2003. The movies earned an estimated $6 billion
in sales of movie tickets, DVDs and merchandise.
The terms of the deal are being kept private.
Warner Bros. took over New Line in March 2008 and their entertainment chief operating officer, Alan Horn said:
“We deeply value the contributions of the Tolkien novels to the success of our films and are pleased to have put this litigation behind us.”
Christopher Tolkien, the authors Son and trustee of The Tolkien Trust based in the UK said that the lawsuit had been regrettable but that the trust is happy the dispute has been settled on satisfactory terms that will allow The Tolkien Trust to properly pursue its charitable objectives.
Bonnie Eskenazi, an attorney who handled the lawsuit for the Tolkien estate, said the settlement vindicated the heirs and will touch more than just movie audiences.
The Tolkien Trust claimed to have received an upfront payment of just $62,500 before work began on The Lord of the Rings trilogy with the promise of a further 7.5% of any and all future gross sales which was never paid.

Ove nedelje pocheo kasting za film broj (1). in Hollywood and England.
Pricha se da je Brian Cox dobio ponudu da glumi Torina.

Peter Jackson has told MTV that he only sees a return to Middle Earth for 3 of the original Lord of the Rings cast.
It’s been known for sometime that Sir Ian McKellen will return to his role as Gandalf but Jackson says he also expects Cate Blanchett to return as Galadriel and Hugo Weaving as Elrond.
“They are Elves, so once again, in the realm of Middle-earth, they’re immortal, they don’t age,” he told MTV when asked about returning actors. “We have a process that would start with showing them the script. We’re not [beginning] any official process until we have the ‘official’ script that they can read.”
“In some respects, it’s a prequel. In book terms, the world of ‘The Hobbit’ takes place 60 years before ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ as it was written by Tolkien. So, not a lot of the characters actually feature, because they weren’t around yet.”
I imagine Andy Serkis just slipped his mind……hopefully

Ne vidim ko bi mogao da zameni Sarumana na belom savetu and such? Mogu lepo da snime iz domovine scene sa njim, jbt
zashto bi to bio toliki problem,svashta.

Verovatno se trude da u Hobita uglave sve likove iz LotR filma koje mogu, ni Galadrijela valjda nije u Hobitu. Jedino da bude Beli Savet na filmu, ali bez Sarumana to nema smisla.

Ax da Savjet... Mada ni njega nema u Hobbite ali... Da,mogli bi valjda da snime tih nekoliko scena u njegovu damovinu,ne bih volio da vidim nekog drugog u ulozi Sarumana osim C.L. On bas djeluje mocno sto jes jes

Pa hoće da ubace i sve što je radio Beli savet za vreme radnje Hobita a što se ne pominje u knjizi već u dodacima GP; kako bi inače razvukli priču u dva filma?
